LARGEST CLASSROOM FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS

• Believing that a passion for the performing arts begins at an early age, The Paramount is committed to presenting the finest Arts Education programming for area school children. As a result of the generosity of our donors through the Arts Education Partnership, The Paramount is able to make these programs accessible to ALL children in Central Virginia and beyond by offering them at a reduced cost and in some cases free of charge.

• Arts Education performances during the school day give our young- est audience members (PreK-12) opportunities to experience live performing arts in our historic Paramount Theater, from musicals and drama, to poetry, dance, music, history, math, and science. All perfor- mances are linked with Virginia Standards of Learning, and financial assistance is available so that all children have access.

• The Paramount also offers summer theater camps through Missoula Children’s Theatre for local youth to perform in musical productions.

• The generosity of our donors has made it possible for more than 70,000 students from all over Central Virginia to attend live theater at The Paramount since 2004.

• All tickets are only $7 for students. • Students and teachers touched by Arts Education performances in 2010/11: 11,500
