of Deers formed after the demise of former local bands. After two months inertia, Deers clicked. Ideas emerged, songs blossomed and the creative process was under way. Loaded with ambition, the band set themselves the challenging task; writing / recording / releasing 4EP’s within 1 year. Green was released at the bands first live show in February 2011. Swiftly after, they were picked up by Adrian Cooke at BBC Introducing and Norfolk based music platform Te Transition to play live sessions. So far, so good... However, with Green out in the open and local East Anglian shows in full force, Red (EP2) was proving to be a stumbling block. Te plan of writing a softer, more stripped back second EP took many sleepless nights writing and recording in church halls, bedrooms, bathrooms and even kitchens before the band were happy with the finished result. Red was released at Deers triumphant first appearance at the Waterfront in September 2011. Not wanting to stay within the comforts of home writing and recording, Orange (EP3) saw Deers

head to London’s Engine Room Studios at Universal Music, to record the first two tracks from the release in a fully live setting. Orange is due for release on the 28th November, followed by a local Norwich EP launch show, taking place on the 1st December at the Waterfront (Studio). All EPs are completely free.
