GRAVY’S TRACK OF THE MONTH

Claw Hammer bySukoshi

Oh

hi! So whilst Kim and Turston have broken up and destroyed music and

my aspirations for romantic rock n roll everlasting love, there are still some things to be happy about, apparently. Tere is news of a new venue in Norwich, which will be great and big, and will hopefully help to turn the Norfuckian tide in our favour for once, convincing bands that taking a detour into the void of the East will be ultimately worth it (because Norwich is good). Below is the ACTUAL PROOF of this fact.

On the1stis an awesome gig at a venue that I probably don’t go to enough. B2(at the back of Te Brickmakers) is a delightful room with great sound, so get down to PALEHORSE + NITKOWSKI + RAVACHOLto start your monthloud.

TenTHROWING MUSESplay atUEA on the3rd.Tey wont need an introduction for most people, having played in Norwich with the likes of Dinosaur Jr and Pixies. Whilst they haven’t quite got a following comparable to the aforementioned, they have got the gusto!

If you require a musical bonfire night (why not!?), then there are two AWESOME options on remember remember the5th of November. At Norwich Arts Centre, TweeOFF! presentACTION BEAT + KHAN + SUKOSHI + TRANSEPTwith promises of a bonfire too! At Epic Studios(on Magdalen Street), All Sorted! PresentsCLUB SMITH + WE CAN’T DANCE + RIGO JANCSI + MADE IN HONG KONG + EYR. Tis is the second gig All Sorted! have put on at Epic, and apparently it is the first of many – definitely a new location for your musical mind-map of Norwich.

GrookPresents a night of jazz, electronica, loops, circuit bending and drone featuring SATELITI + CJ BOYD +

I really like THE NAKED AND FAMOUS. I saw them at SXSW this year and they were amazing. I can imagine that they will be even better at Te Waterfront, where they are playing on the 21st.
