Unique
to celebrating the power of shared resources, Spiral Q Puppet Theater has joined with the Community Edu- cation Center, The Rotun- da and the Paul Robeson House to present the 12th Annual Peoplehood Parade and Festival. Peoplehood is a celebration of communi- ties’ creativity, joy, can-do attitudes, and courage to act on their convictions. As groups and community organizations across the city are working with decreased resources, this year’s Peo- plehood represents the col- lective effort of multiple organizations. Peoplehood will be slightly different this year than it has been in years past, though the spirit of the event will be as lively and engaging as ever. The parade, which for 12 years has been an eruption of community-wide creativ- ity, diversity, and dialogue,
will be the same as it has been in years past. Partici- pants will be stepping off from the Robeson House at 1p.m. and ending in Clark Park, where the pageant will be staged. The pageant will be a compilation of scenes from Peoplehoods past, so audiences can ex- pect to see some of the most memorable moments from eleven years of Peoplehood pageants. New to Peoplehood is the festival, taking place in the bowl at Clark Park at 45th and Chester. Spiral Q is pooling resources with long

standing partners to stage performances curated by the CEC and the Rotunda. Additionally, organizations and individuals from across Philadelphia will host sta- tions with art-making and skills-sharing, as well as a resource collection tent where contributions of sur- plus materials will be gath- ered for a number of orga- nizations serving diverse needs across the city.
