ith more information booths and chances to win a beach vacation, the third annual


Hot Sun event is expected to be the best one yet! The event will be held in the airport on Saturday October 29th between 12 and 4 pm. Free parking will be offered in the long-term lot for all attendees: just bring in your parking voucher to be validated at the event.


Airlines, resorts, tour operators and travel agents will be on site with information brochures, flight and holiday package deals, and provide information on how to get the best vacation experience for your money. Travel Medicine and Vaccination Centre will be on site to provide medical travel information and the Mexico Tourism Board will be on site to answer questions. All exhibitors will have the opportunity to show slide presentations and hold information sessions in the airport boardroom.


Of course the best part of an event at the airport is the chance to win a hot sun holiday!


Up for grabs at the event is a chance to win an all-inclusive trip for two to Puerto Vallarta from Transat Holidays/Nolitours, airfare for two to Cancun from Air Canada Vacations, and a one week stay at Occidental Grand Punta Cana all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic. HOT SUN DESTINATIONS WE CAN GET YOU THERE!


Sunwing is back at YLW this winter offering a weekly charter service to Mazatlan, Mexico. This new destination service begins November 10 and will have a longer charter season offering vacation packages through to mid May 2012.


WestJet starts new scheduled service flying between YLW and Phoenix, AZ every Monday beginning October 31 until April 30.


Of course, we are pleased to have the renewal of our traditional sun destinations with Transat Holidays/Nolitours and weekly charters to Puerto Vallarta and Cancun starting December 17.


WestJet now provides eight months of scheduled service to Las Vegas, which began September 10. On November 1 WestJet will begin its seasonal scheduled service once a week to Cancun, Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas, which will run until April 30.


Alaska Airlines offers great, one easy, same day connection to/from YLW to four Hawaiian islands via their SEATAC hub and Air Canada provides YLW passengers free connections to Vancouver and Calgary when flying to Mexico or the Caribbean.
