Te Springfield College YMCA Club is part of the Coalition of Campus YMCAs, which encompasses 22 campus YMCAs nationwide. From a historic perspective, YMCAs were the precursor to student affairs offices on college and university campuses. At the height of the student YMCA movement, there were 945 YMCAs operating on college and university campuses, serving more than 94,000 students. Today, campus YMCAs continue to facilitate important programs on their respective campuses, offering college students a range of service-based activities and educational programs.
Each May, student leaders representing campus YMCAs from across the country gather for the National Coalition of Campus YMCAs (CCY) Conference. Te conference is designed, planned, and implemented by the students, for the students, and offers a blend of student-led workshops, open space to share and exchange program ideas, networking opportunities, service-based learning experiences, and of course, fun.
