It’s the right climate to go solar!

IT doesn't have to be a gloriously hot summer's day for you to make the most of solar panels on your roof. Which is just as well in a country not renowned for consistently good weather.

One of the most common misunderstandings about solar technology is that full-on sunshine is necessary to make it work effectively.

Key benefits to consider:

 Electrical providers are raising costs to consumers every year.

 Customers will earn more through having roof panels than they would in bank interest rates.

 Government Feed In Tariffs guaranteed for 25 years from date contract is signed (Benefits will not drop below 43.3p per unit sold back to the grid)

 Add value to your property  Lower your carbon footprint.  Installation should only take one or two days

But the team at Maidstone Energy Services, said, “a crisp, frosty, clear-sky day in December can produce similar results. That is why the installation of photo- voltaic (PV) systems has become such a booming sector in this country. We may not always love our

climate, but it suits the product. Maidstone Energy Services offers a full solar solution - from planning and design, fitting and project management through to complete after-care.

And, of course, there are big money-saving and envi- ronmental reasons for householders to seriously consider going solar.

Depending on the size of your

roof, an investment of, say, £11,000 in solar panels could produce a return of £40,000 on a 4kilowatt system over a 25-year period. Under the Government's Feed-in

Tariff (FiT) scheme, energy suppliers have to make regular payments to householders who generate their own electricity from renewable or low carbon sources such as solar electricity panels (PV) or wind turbines. The FiT scheme guarantees a minimum payment for all electricity generated by the system, as well as a separate payment for the electricity exported to the national grid. These payments are in addition to the domestic bill savings made by using the electricity you generate at home.

If you have taken out a loan to pay for the installation, the tariffs are designed so that the average monthly income will be significantly greater than your monthly loan repayment, over 25 years.

Maidstone Energy Services are

MCS-accredited, the industry-led government-endorsed scheme for micro-generation products and the installation companies who fit them.
