In this rear-end collision case, did the trial court err in refusing to permit the plaintiff to call a rebuttal expert witness, given that the expert had not been identified by the date for identifying all experts in the court’s scheduling order. The scheduling order included dates for designation of experts but made no provision for the designation of rebuttal experts. The plaintiff notes that a rebuttal expert could not reasonably be designated before the defendant had designated its experts, yet the scheduling order would seem to suggest that this is what was required.

On appeal, the terminated employee argues that no Maryland statute expressly permits the local superintendent to dismiss someone in his posi- tion. In the absence of any statutory authority, the former employee argues that the superintendent lacked power to terminate his employment and that he should therefore be reinstated. n
