Issues

Did the trial court err in allowing the defendant, over ob- jection, to inquire of the plaintiff whether her attorney referred her to her treating physician following which the jury awarded no damages?

With a winter storm approaching, a police dispatcher was anonymously notified of an intoxicated, unconscious youth in the woods behind a house in a residential complex. The dispatcher gave the wrong address to the patrol officers, as a result of which the youth died of exposure. Did the trial court err in granting the defendants’ motion to dismiss holding that no duty of care existed between the dispatch operator and the deceased and further applying the “spe- cial relationship analysis” to the government defendant who was not a public official but rather a government employee?

Ratification of an Arbitration Award

40-1424 Rosedale Plaza Limited William J. Selle 410-266-9500 Partnership v.

Ownership of Liquor License

Bollinger/Baltimore County

Did the trial court err in affirming the arbitration award despite the fact that appellant had discharged her desig- nated arbitrator prior to the final arbitration hearing and therefore argues she was denied due process?

In a case which originally began in the bankruptcy court, did the trial court err in reversing its earlier ruling and hold- ing that the individual licensee had no ownership interest in a liquor license, but that ownership resided in the corpo- ration for whose use the license was issued?

During cross-examination of plaintiff’s expert witness, whose testimony was being taken by videotape, defense counsel asked the attending physician to review and then read into evidence the IME report of Dr. Bruce Ammerman. Did the trial court err in denying plaintiff’s motion to strike all references to Dr. Ammerman’s report (who was not called to testify at trial) ruling that plaintiff’s counsel failed at the deposition to state with sufficient specificity the reason for the objection and further ruling that pursuant to Davis v. Goodman (700 A.2d 798, 117 Md. App. (1997)) the court could not consider redacting any portion of the deposition prior to when appellant’s counsel first noted an objection at page 60 of the deposition?
