ishop Douglass is a school where ‘Moving Forward and

Raising Achievement’ is a constant theme, where the individual student really matters. Students are at the centre of all we do.

We are immensely proud of our curriculum which we have developed to ensure that all young people can fulfil their potential following different pathways. We value all aspects of learning and development, physical, emotional, academic and vocational. We are proud of the community we have developed where young people learn, respect, value each other’s uniqueness and become independent learners who are responsible citizens able to take their place in society.

Students at Bishop Douglass are motivated to achieve to the best

2 Bishop Douglass School

We are a diverse community reflecting the many communities of London and are proud of the way in which we work in harmony. Visitors to the school always comment on the excellent relationships that are evident and Ofsted highlighted this in their Inspection. Our students live up to our Mission Statement which is

• Being the best we can be • Diversity with respect • Supporting each other in our Catholic Community

All the staff within Bishop Douglass go above and beyond to ensure students’ achievement, in particular running after-school, Saturday and holiday classes. I am proud to be the Headteacher of this school and know you will find a welcome here and can assure you of the personal attention to ensure your child’s needs are met. Angela Murphy, Headteacher
