Flourishing Yoga Movement Takes Root on Hollywood Beach
A
diverse group of followers gather
on the beach to ex- ercise the body, calm the mind and nourish the soul for a volun- tary donation. Beach- combers strolling past Magnolia Terrace in Hollywood Beach regularly encounter an unusual scene these days. They are greeted by the sight of rows of people situated on mats or towels, undu- lating in unison under the fluid guidance of Yoga instructor Tiffany Weber. Facing her “students” with her back to
the Atlantic, Tiffany orchestrates the group‘s movements with cryptic phrases such as “Downward Dog”, “Warrior I” and “Child‘s Pose”. Her directions are interspersed with inspirational images that speak of opening one’s heart to the universe and bowing to one‘s own Divine inspiration. Participants‘ exposure to yoga ranges
from rank beginners to life-long practitio- ners. Tiffany teaches Hatha Yoga, a form that focuses on healing the body, mind and spirit.
Classes meet Mon., Weds. and Sat.
at 9am and evenings at 8pm. Location is 2501 S Ocean Dr., turn onto Magnolia Ter. where there is metered public park- ing for two dollars an hour. Walk onto the sand and follow the burning incense. For more information on Holly-
wood Beach Yoga, contact Tiffany We- ber at 954.551.9265 or go to www.

aging – it’s a combination of factors in- cluding genetic and environmental. The main elements that cause the face to age are bone changes, fat, collagen and elastin loss. While factors like bone changes can’t be prevented, fat collagen and elastin loss can be minimized. Lifestyle choices such as diet and sun exposure also impact the aging process. Common concerns like wrinkles or sagging skin are actually a genetic imbal- ance involving the body‘s terrain system. By recovering the physiological struc- ture of fat tissue, restoring the endocrine balance, detoxifying the extra cellular matrix and correcting metabolic function, we can expect to repair tissue tonicity and eradicate wrinkles. There was a time when your skin radiated youth, health and beauty. Guna products can help restore that beauty. Facial bio-revitalization uses minimally invasive injections just under the skin surface. Desiri Curtis A.P. is an Acupuncture
