Parish says thank you for 30 years service

ADDINGTON Parish Council stalwart Philip Wilson was presented with gifts in gratitude for his 30 years of service.

Cllr Wilson resigned as chairman in 2009, but remained as a councillor until this May, choosing not to stand for election.

Colleagues spoke of the immense benefit the village had derived from his input to council decisions and his chairmanship over the years.

Cllr Patricia Garrett presented him with an engraved wine glass and a case of wine from past and immediate colleagues. His wife, Sonia, was given a basket of flowers.

The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Tonbridge and Malling Cllr Sue Murray.
