Local people celebrate THAT wedding with a right royal ‘do’

RED, white and blue was the order of the day when tradi- tional street parties were held throughout Malling to cele- brate the wedding at Westminster Abbey of Prince William and Catherine Middleton. More than 500 people partied at Kings Hill School, with


fancy dress, lashings of bunting, a royal wedding cake, and entertainment. Residents from local nursing homes were invited to join


the children and their families to enjoy the party tea, danc- ing and competitions. At Mereworth Primary School (above), tables were lined


up for a street party withfancy dress prizes and games. After singing the National Anthem, everyone tucked into a


party tea, and then joined in dancing including the hokey cokey and the conga around the field. Yr-4 pupil Dominic Hodgson said: “We had a fantastic
