“I don’t like to hear any manager getting hostility. But I’d prefer it to be him than me so, no, to be honest, I don’t give a flying flute. I can empathise with him, I’ve been there, but ‘sympathy’ is not the word. Look it up in the dictionary, it’s between sh*t and syphilis.” Gerard Houllier won’t be crying on Mick McCarthy’s shoulder anytime soon.
“Unfortunately, from what I can see, people have been judging the entire organisation by the unpopularity of its president.” Mohamed Bin Hammam on FIFA President, Sepp Blatter.
“It would be easier if we played 20 games fewer each year - those games that nobody cares about.” Graeme Swann complains about England’s ‘ludicrous’ schedule.

Defiantly going where no editor has gone before!
Loz is off to the bird box again - we didn’t understand that one either. It shouldn’t be allowed - stripping up the pitch, that is!
We had four structure rechanges in just four years
… struggle to maintain there status, with spire ring costs on all fronts
… tough on any body who set foot on his allowed turf
The first signs of spring are defiantly upon us
Usually these renovation evolve around some light scarification work
We are going down to the bird box again
… marking out and cleaning up the wicket between overs
… two days to hand shovel all the snow off the pitch using compact tractors and trailers
it is a case of devoting the pitch
it a case of getting out the Allett Mowers to strip up the pitch
... he has an old head on his shoulders
