IT company supports top racing teams for fifth year
IT provider Blue Chip is celebrating its fifth year as technology sponsor for two world-class racing teams at the pinnacle of their sport: the Rizla Suzuki MotoGP and the Crescent Racing British Superbike (BSB) teams.
Blue Chip managing director Richard Cook said: “Our relationship with Crescent – the business behind the teams – has become very close over the past five years, since providing both the business and the racing teams with the IT infrastructure and genuine 24/7, ’hands-on’ support they need, whether here in the UK or on the other side of the world.
“Of course, with hardware and a system that is constantly on the move with the teams, there is always the risk of damage or a loss of connectivity. While this is extremely rare, our 24/7 support has ensured our dedicated senior

schedules there is no room for down time or lost access to our data, especially for the MotoGP team moving from country to country. Ensuring connectivity and accessibility to data as soon as we reach our next destination
“There’s already a lot to think about logistically during the racing season, so knowing that we don’t have to give our IT a second thought, and that the around-the-clock support is there regardless of the time zones we’re operating in, is a fundamental for us. And we like the fact that the same person at Blue Chip has looked after our systems for the past five years, which means he knows our system and us, extremely well. This has been a partnership that has blossomed over the years and one that we look forward to continuing in the future.“
