THE STOP BULLYING PROJECT KICK OFF EVENTS This month, the Long Beach Community Business
Network (LBCBN) launches the Stop Bullying Project and invites the entire community to stop bullies in their tracks by participating in two separate events. First, tell the organization what you think and help define the project at the Stop the Bullying Forum. Participants will share thoughts and ideas about the important project on Sunday, April 3, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride offices located on the corner of 10th Street and Obispo Avenue in Long Beach. Then, mark your calendars for the official Stop the Bullying Kick-off on Wednesday, April 20, at 6:30 p.m. You certainly won’t want to miss this important community event

Women: Celebrating Art, Music & Equality” on Saturday, April 16 in the Inter- national Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel. ARTFUL THINKING ORGANIZATION PRESENTS HOMEWRECKER, THE MOVIE Artful Thinking Organization is a
Long Beach nonprofit that engages in artful activities related to educating the public about HIV/AIDS and breast cancer as well as providing preven- tion program information on these two very important health issues through community based events. Artful Thinking’s Out at the Movies is presenting a film screening of Homewrecker, a hilarious spoof of the melodramatic Lifetime Channel mov- ies with gay characters, on Thursday, April 28, at 9 p.m. The Homewrecker cast is set to be on hand for a live Q&A session after the screening, which takes place at the Art Theatre of Long Beach, located at 2025 East Fourth Street in Long Beach. 2011 GLAAD MEDIA AWARDS Celebrate GLAAD’s 25th Anniversary and the year’s best representations of LGBT people in the media at the GLAAD Media Awards Los Angeles on April 10. GLAAD will honor Kristin Chenoweth with the Vanguard Award and the Chair of NBC Entertainment, Robert Greenblatt, with the Stephen F. Kolzak Award. Special guests include Kirsten Dunst, Omar Epps, Colin Farrell, Sean Hayes, Shay Mitchell and the cast of Modern Family.
