inhorgenta award – international award for the watch and jewellery industry as a whole
As an important international platform for the trade sector, inhorgenta provides the ideal surroundings in which to award prizes for the most innovative ideas of the year. Whether they be jewellery, watches, gemstones or lifestyle collections, for the first time ever products and creations from all trade areas represented at inhor- genta will be given the opportunity of demonstrating their innovative ability and diversity within the scope
of the inhorgenta awards. In 2011, this international competition will be open to all representatives from within the industry for the first time ever, be that produc- ers of jewellery, designers, gemstone cutters, packaging manufacturers, watch manufacturers or manufacturing engineers.
The inhorgenta award will be awarded for each of the following nine categories: Carat, Contemporary Design, Lifestyle
Brands,
Selection, Timepieces, Tableware,
Technology, Special and Lifetime Achievement. Objects that may be submitted include, for instance, gemstone jewellery, avant-garde designs, brand products, objects and devices made of silver, watches, workshop fittings and pearl jewellery. The ‚Lifetime Achievement‘ catego- ry will be used to honour prominent personalities who have rendered outstanding services to the industry. The various products and creations will be selected and judged as part of a two-tiered process by a top-class jury made up of designers, journalists and representa- tives from academia.
