ADB’s Bad Boogie Production Feb 2011

What a start to the year! It appears that 2011 will be even more hectic than 2010. A new role in my day job, has meant that unfortunately I have had to give up my weekly Thursday night show on COLOURFUL. Don’t despair though I haven’t left the station, I will be on the station at weekends, covering shows whenever the Mc Man, has spaces for me to fill. So far this has been a regular occurance.

Musically, do check out the new album released in January by Charles Bradley No Time for Dreaming, but that’s more or less it!! Always a quiet month for music January.

On the soulful House tip, I do like the new Neil Pearce featuring Dawn Tallman Get Out Of My Head.

So as it’s a quiet month, let’s cover some other territory. I need a break man, not from you readers, or my loyal COLOURFUL listeners. Just from the madness that is called everyday life. Hey you know I am in need of a break when I book a holiday during the Football season. This means not watching my beloved Spurs play amongst others AC MILAN in the last 16 of the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. But also, the CRICKET WORLD CUP is taking place in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. It’s great being able

to support two out of the twelve teams, so all the best to the WEST INDIES and ENGLAND.

I had no holiday in 2010 instead I sent my Daughters Lee-Anne and Lauren to the United States, New York to be precise. Not only that their two week break turned into three weeks, courtesy of some Scandinavian volcano dust. It meant they spent some extra time with their Aunt.

So in March I will do the same thing, well not exactly, it’s my Sister Sandra as opposed to my Aunt. I will be chilling in Brooklyn, and then taking her trawling around Manhattan like I do, to places she has never been to, and she has

lived in NY for more years than I care to remember. I will also be spending time with my Aunt in Mount Vernon NY, along with my cousin who are really my adoptive Sisters Delores and Jennifer. I CAN’T WAIT! I am also adding Miami to the mix though, first time I would have gone there since I was 7 years old, and that was whilst en route to Barbados. I will be checking out an event called Jazz in The Gardens, which the promoters have been kind enough to supply me with a free pass to the Two Days of the event, which is over the weekend of March 19th and March 20th. A BIG THANK YOU to Suzan McDowell of Circle of one marketing. More details on this event to follow in the
