Alex Sewell and Jane Gardner started the Parkheath offices in Rickmansworth and Chorleywood in 2002. Since then, the business has gone from strength to strength, winning many awards. Now the team has announced that it has rebranded, moving away from the franchise umbrella, to branch out as Sewell & Gardner. One of the major reasons is to expand on the internet marketing and forge ahead with the social networking side of the business, including blogs and industry articles from the staff, most of whom have studied hard and are qualified in their specialist field. A Sheffield agent is introducing a new way of selling property and is calling for ambitious business people to join in. Hunters (www.huntersnet.co.uk), already has a successful office in Sheffield but it is recruiting 10 new ‘personal agents’ across Sheffield. Hunters personal agents do not operate out of traditional high- street offices, but instead pay a fee to work for themselves, from home, under the Hunters brand. They have already lined up their first recruit, Richard Ayre, who will begin work in the Walkley area. After paying a

Lucy Jones (right), the Operations Manager of LSL Corporate Client Department, has completed the NFoPP Diploma in Residential Lettings and Management. The diploma entitles Lucy to become a Fellow of ARLA. Lucy completed the


qualification in just a year, and has previously passed her ARLA 1 and 2 exams with distinction. Less than one per 1000 ARLA members is currently qualified at this level. Lucy has 14 years’ experience in lettings and was the manager of several Your Move branches before being appointed as Operations Manager for LSL’s Corporate Client Department.
