Take Part in Great Backyard Bird Count
T
he Collier County Audubon Society is asking Southwest Florida residents to pay attention to their own backyard between February 18 and 21, to marvel at and count the winged wonders on
view. The annual Great Backyard Bird Count, a joint venture of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Audubon and Bird Studies Canada, helps improve our knowledge of birds’ numbers and status. During the annual count, participants tally how many birds of each species they see together at any one time during the four-day period and report their results online at
BirdSource.org/gbbc. Results of the count will assist scien- tists and wildlife experts in determining how weather and diseases are influenc- ing bird populations per region, tracking migratory route fluctuations and trends and providing other helpful data.

Says Evans, “There will always be a root cause or imbalance that holds a person back from achieving their [weight- loss] goals. Excess weight is a symptom of something else that is going on. We find the root cause and develop the solution, opening the door to a much higher suc- cess rate.”
Location: 3811 Airport Rd. For more info, call 239-430-6800 or visit TAEWeight-
