!nspiration 2011 – Celebrate Your Emergence
A Conversation with Michael Bernard Beckwith by Linda Sechrist
M
ichael Bernard Beckwith is the founder and spiritual director of the Agape International Spiritual
Center and the author of Spiritual Lib- eration: Fulfilling Your Soul’s Potential. Featured in the PBS special, The Answer is You, Beckwith will offer a two-day transformative experience at the !nspira- tion 2011 conference, February 25-26, presented by the Center for Spiritual Living Cape Coral. He will be joined by his wife Rickie Byars Beckwith and four other inspirational leaders.
What is the Law of Emergence that you will be teaching about at !nspiration 2011?
The Law of Emergence describes how manifestation occurs; how the poten- tial of something is actualized. We’ve become accustomed to thinking that we are here to make something happen. However, in truth, we are here to create the conditions for something to be made welcome. A good analogy for this is a seed, which contains an intricate design of a particular plant or tree. When the
seed is in an environment where proper conditions exist, that which is within it emerges to express its highest potential. So the Law of Emergence shows us how to inwardly create the proper conditions for the highest potential within us to express and actualize.
How does the Law of Emergence relate to the Law of Attraction?
The Law of Attraction is an important first step in learning that external circumstances do not determine the design for our lives. The Law of Emergence is the next evolutionary articulation of the Law of Attraction.
How does this transformational event differ from other spiritual workshops?
by intention and group spiritual practices such as meditation, chant, prayer and vi- sioning, everyone can experience moments in which they feel spiritually awake. We encourage people to come at the be- ginning of the conference and stay to hear all the speakers, because as each presenter makes his/her contribution, it expands the field of consciousness.
After attending such a
transformational event, how can people maintain the energy and benefi ts they experienced?
We encourage everyone one who attends our conferences, workshops and other inspirational events to have a daily spiritual practice, so that their insights and revela- tions become integrated at a deeper level. They become embodied, and therefore strengthened.
Aspects of the conference focus on how our intellectual reasoning tries to grab us as soon as we leave the coherence of group energy. Sacred tools help us keep our com- mitment to a spiritual practice, even when we don’t feel like it.

During this conference, the collective group energy will create an intentional magnetic field, which is as real as any gravitational force field. In this coherent field, brought about
Spiritual camaraderie, soulful gatherings and sacred fellowship are important to the journey in order to strengthen and ground an atmosphere of intention for the evolving soul and evolution of consciousness. When we come together, we create a spiritual high tide which floats all souls.

We live in a society that has certain be- liefs—lack, limitation, scarcity, prejudice and separation—which are counter to reality. By regularly coming together with others in an atmosphere rich with inspiration, possibility, wholeness and healing, we activate our high- est potential.
