ACCREDITATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS

CMH Main Laboratory awarded Accreditation by the Accreditation Committee of American Pathologists (CAP)

PURPOSE: IT STARTS AND ENDS WITH YOU As your community hospital, one of our strongest qualities is our quality! Our physicians and staff are committed to providing the highest quality care to our patients. Quality rankings are based on many important

factors, including excellent clinical care, customer service and patient safety. Community Memorial Healthcenter is committed to building on the high standards of care we have worked so hard to establish. As evidence of this commitment, CMH participates in numerous state and national quality initiatives. We are pleased to have earned the following awards and certifications: • In July 2009, CMH received six national quality awards from the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in three different clinical areas for various quality initiatives.

• CMH ranked in the top 10% of the U.S. and the state for patient satisfaction in Medicare’s survey called HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer

Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems). The HCAHPS survey is a national, standardized, publicly reported survey of patients’ perspectives of hospital care.

• CMH offers a Clinical Ladder Program where LPNs, RNs and Allied Health Professionals advance their knowledge and skills in their practice areas and become involved in community projects. This year, CMH recognized more than 53 employees who committed to improving their role in providing quality care through their participation in our Clinical Ladder Program.

Ultimately, however, awards or certifications are not the only measure of quality. Our patients know compassionate and capable care when they experience it. Each department, member of our staff and volunteer is focused on the clear and constant long-term commitment to quality. It’s something we take as a personal point of pride, which is evident in these honors:
