COUNTY NEWS Assessors honored, new IAAO chapter officers installed


Te Arkansas Chapter of the International Association of Assessing Officers presented their annual chapter awards at the 56th Annual Fall Arkansas Assessors Association seminar that was held in Hot Springs October 19-22. Te Arkansas Chapter of IAAO was founded


in 1986 advancement of professionalism in as- sessment administration, to raise the standards of the profession, and to gain recognition by governmental authorities of the assessing pro- fession.


Te chapter also works to educate the public


regarding the ad valorem tax system and works to provide a clearinghouse for the collection and distribution of useful information relating to as- sessment practice, and in every proper way to promote justice and equality in the distribution of the tax burden.
