POM Inc. announces a new product, Parktel, which allows you to pay
your parking meter with your credit card using your cell phone and access to Parktel’s website. Transactions are processed through PayPal’s secure mobile payments gateway. All transactions are secure, and PCI compliance is not an issue. Wireless network is not required. Proof of payment is provided as an e-mail message and the meter’s actual enforcement signal (or printed receipt from other types of licensed parking equipment).
