Color Weaverville Candlelight stroll set for Dec. 10 Te seventh annual Candlelight

through town to M7 Realty, where he will then be available for pictures and to hear Christmas wishes. Merchants on Main Street will


join in the festivities by remaining open until 9 pm to allow strollers to pick up those holiday essentials. Several local caroling groups will be performing during the evening, as well as Te Sweet Adeline’s, Weaverville First Baptist Church Hand Bell Choir, Southern Con-

Jupiter Baptist Church Christmas celebration On Dec. 18, local families will usher in the Christmas season with special festivities. Hosted by Jupiter


Baptist Church, the day-long celebration will begin at 9:30 am, with classes and activities for toddlers, elementary, and pre-teens commencing at 10:00 AM. While parents enjoy time for last-minute shopping, children’s events during the day will include crafts, games and Bible lessons. Lunch will be served, with wrap-up at 4:30 PM. Te church nursery

and citizens to help some needy families this holiday season. Unwrapped gifts can be dropped


off between 8:30 am and 5 pm at the Weaverville Police Depart- ment on South Main Street. After 5 pm, those looking to donate can call 645-5700 and an officer will


arrange a meeting at the depart- ment. Police officers will be collect-


ing toys from 5 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday (Dec. 8) at RBC Cen- tura on Weaver Boulevard.
