IMMI announced in October that Tom
Chezem is the new vice president of the Center for Advanced Product Evaluation, or CAPE, in Westfield, Ind. Chezem joins CAPE from Daimler Bus of North Amer- ica (Setra), where he was vice president of sales. At IMMI, Chezem oversees the management of the CAPE division while promoting and expanding the breadth of testing and product evaluation services available to customers. Chezem graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering technology from Purdue Uni- versity and has a master’s degree in business administration from Cornell University.
Ricon Corporation and Vapor Bus Inter-
national promoted John Condon to vice president of sales for North America in November. He is responsible for integrating
and leading the Ricon and Vapor Bus sales groups. In addition, Condon will assume responsibilities of the Ricon customer ser- vice department. With more than 20 years of sales and service experience for Vapor Bus in the bus industry, Condon recently served as national sales director for transit. He also served as Vapor’s sales manager for the Western region and was a sales and ser- vice engineer.
In opening a new sales and service cen-
ter in Gadsden, Ala., Seon Design named Rodney Holman as the company’s new southeast sales and service representative. Holman has more than 24 years of experi- ence in the school bus industry, originally at Allison Transmission. He also served as a service rep for Blue Bird and Tomas Built Buses, where he specified mobile security
systems, and he owned his own business, RGH Sales, which marketed mobile surveil- lance systems and bus accessories. Holman now provides sales and service for Seon cus- tomers in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee.
Charles “Chuck” Lockwood has driven
school buses for the Hamilton Heights School Corporation located in Arcadia, Ind., for more than 50 years, the district an- nounced last fall. Longwood began driving full time on Aug. 1, 1959 after substitut- ing for his dad, Conrad. Chuck also owns the local Lockwood’s Service Station and performed maintenance for the fleet at Hamilton Heights. Chuck still drives his daily route as well as for the high school football program. Last spring the school corporation re-named the road that runs to the trans- portation facility as “Chuck Lockwood Way.”
