Foodies Delight: Loop Head has a variety of award-winning cafés, pubs and restaurants where you can experience the freshest of fresh foods. Most specialise in locally caught fish and shellfish.
Entertainment/Events: The pubs have regular music and sing- song sessions and traditional Irish nights feature regularly. There are also several nightclubs in Kilkee.
Festivals and Events: The Peninsula has some great festivals and events including The Carrigaholt Oyster and Trad Festival (May); the Kilkee ‘Hell of the West’ Triathalon in June (1,500m Atlantic swim; 44k cycle and 10k run); the Kilkee Maritime Festival (July); Currach Racing in Kilbaha and Carrigaholt in June and Kilkee in July; and Horse racing on Kilkee Strand (September).
