We are now looking for an outstanding candidate to provide commercial leadership for sport at the university. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Services, you will be responsible for leading Sport & Physical Activity into the next phase of development. The successful candidate will be an outstanding individual with a passion for realising the impact sport can have on our students, staff and wider community.

Carlton is an important, well established Outdoor Centre and has over the years, delivered curricular based adventurous activity to Primary Schools in the Tees Valley. You will be expected to lead change both in infrastructure, operations, community engagement and resourcing with the aim of transforming the Centre into one of the best in the region.


Educated to degree level and with a management or business qualification, you should be highly motivated, have experience of delivering outdoor activity services, demonstrable management experience and proven commercial awareness. You should be an able communicator, with strong networking skills and will need to be flexible, dedicated and prepared to work occasional unsociable hours.
