Dear Readers, A s we go to print with this issue the World Equestrian Games have THE

already begun in Lexington, Kentucky. This is the first time the Games have been held on USA soil and it may be some time before we see them again. For those of you going, enjoy the competitions and celebrate the winners. The 2010 show season is just about over, where did all that time go? Seems like it was just yesterday that we watched the ball go to the ground in Times Square as 2010 was ushered in, and yet it is quickly moving toward 2011. A lot of changes for our sport, we will do a wrap up in the Nov/Dec issue as we close out the year. Western United States shows have gotten better in the past

new Sonoma shows, it seems the ante has been upped and putting pressure

months. With the introduction of the on already

successful shows. The "pressure" is to kick it up a notch, take a better shot at production, make sponsors thirsty for more. And all of that is only good for our sport. The Dec issue will see some new changes for ShowBiz that we are excited about. Look for a new sales project in the works that will make horse shopping easier, look for some additional articles about Dressage for the show jumper, follow young professionals up the ladder, embrace some of the older generation that is facing retirement. The USHJA Convention is in December and I encourage all of you to get your tickets and get on board the rule change

train. There are a lot of them again this year and before they pass and you face new rules, BE HEARD!!!! Take the time to go and spend the very few days, you will learn things about

this sport that could take years otherwise. It is a heated pool of decisions and adjustments that affect all of the horse showing exhibitors,

owners, riders, show managers etc. Be involved. As usual, a SPECIAL THANK YOU to our readers. The year has been exceptional and we thank you!
