ot many people have the opportu- nity to go behind the scenes of a dynamic, international ministry whose mission is to faithfully proclaim the message of Yeshua (Jesus) to the Jew first and also to the Nations. In fact, it never occurred to me that one day I would! A retir- ee after a 35-year career at Electronic Data Systems, I never would have dreamed that God would call me to work alongside Jona- than Bernis and his staff, a group strongly dedicated to reaching Jewish People with the Gospel. Yet, I just completed my first anniversary serving as Chief Operating Offi- cer for Jewish Voice Ministries. Over the past year I have focused on the purpose for which God has called me here— to nurture the staff, develop the leaders, pro- mote excellence, and enhance the efficien- cies of our day-to-day operations so that every dollar saved can be sent to the work of our outreaches around the world. This is why I am so excited to share with you some of the achievements that the team has accomplished in the last year. We have successfully implemented, for the first time ever, process and project man- agement, and performance standards across all departments, allowing for heightened levels of communication and cooperation between every facet of the ministry. By lay- ing this foundation, we are moving the cul- ture to even higher levels of excellence. We have also worked together to insti-
tute new financial processes in budgeting and forecasting that have brought increased focus and accountability to the stewardship of our resources—the resources you so faith- fully sow! Additionally, we have increased our outreach efforts around the globe. We have had the privilege of adding
new members to our team who are experts in their respective fields and have an incred- ible heart for the ministry. (You will find their photos at the end of this article.) The Lord has also chosen to expand our borders! This year, we were blessed to acquire a second building, the Messianic Prayer and Outreach Center, which will sup-

port the growing needs of our Global Outreach and Development staff. By the time you receive this maga- zine, construction on our Chapel Meeting Area and Prayer Room should be complete, and you are invit- ed to come and intercede with us for the Nation of Israel, the salvation of the Jewish People worldwide, and the fruitfulness of our outreaches!
This year has been
truly amazing. I can’t help but wonder what my life would have been like had I not said ‘yes’ to God’s timely interruption of my retirement. I definitely would not have com- muted to Phoenix each week from Dallas! But I also would not have been able
to experi-
ence such a unique cul- ture where I have grown in my under- standing of the roots of my faith and become a part of such a vibrant, end-times ministry that reaches thousands of Jewish People with the Gospel every year. At the beginning of this article I said
that not many people get the opportunity to work behind the scenes of such a dynamic ministry, but in reality, God is calling every one of us to partner with Him in the harvest- ing of souls.
What is God calling you to in this next season as the days draw closer to His return? Will you answer His call for your life? Consider joining us on an overseas out-
reach, volunteering with us at a community event or becoming an ambassador for Jew- ish Voice at your local church or congrega- tion. You may never dream the difference you can make—and your life will never be the same. I know mine never will.
