riends, 2010 is stacking up to be one of the best years ever for Jewish Voice Ministries International. As Director of Domestic Outreach for the ministry, I am eager to share the excitement we feel as we stretch our tent pegs farther than ever before.
F September 11 marked the launch of a
brand new event that we are hosting around America called “A Rabbi Looks at the Last Days.” This powerful, one-day, face-to-face, insider’s event was hosted at Christ the Redeemer Church in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Nothing could have prepared us for the energy that literally met us at the door as our Domestic Outreach team arrived on site, several days in advance! The team had gone ahead of time to finalize preparations for the arrival of Rabbi Jona- than Bernis, his speaking guests, and the participants.
While the nation observed a variety of
9/11 memorial gatherings, Saturday morn- ing, September 11 found us opening the conference with the sound of Messianic praise filling the air. Worship was led by psalmist and internationally-known record- ing artist, Steve Bowersox. With the day off to a great start, Rabbi
Bernis riveted the audience with this chal- lenge: “What if everything you have been taught about the Last Days is wrong?” Rab- bi Bernis revealed powerful insight into the Jewish People being restored to their Land and their Messiah, not in some mys- tical and mysterious day in the future— but right now! He shared that we are liv- ing right in the middle of undeniable biblical prophecy being fulfilled, but you have to know where to look if you are going to see it. There is so much specula- tion about theological topics like: • The mark of the beast • Gog and Magog • 666

• The abomination of desolation Believers have become almost obsessed with trying to unravel the Bible’s myste- rious prophecies about these things. Others are waiting to be taken out of this world. But what if our prophetic focus is wrong? What if the inseparable connec- tion between the Gentile nations and the redemption of Jewish People around the world is the key to the return of the Messiah?
Economic expert
Dr. Larry Bates spoke about vital issues concerning the economic welfare of America. The pressing question for Dr. Bates was this: “Is America headed for an economic collapse?” These are peril- ous times, and nearly every American has been affected. Dr. Bates expertly addressed tenu- ous concerns with invaluable spiritual and practical insight. Next in line, Rabbi Bernis and Dr. Ray- mond Gannon dealt very boldly with a great conspiracy of Satan, addressing the great
lie that has been passed down
through the generations by both politi- cians and preachers. Throughout history, an attempt to replace the Nation of Israel as the very apple of God’s eye has been perpetrated. As Jonathan Bernis and Dr.
Gannon spoke, the presence of God liter- ally began to move many in the audience to tears. As Dr. Gannon began to share how God had called him to reach the Jew- ish People with a true message of their Messiah, his passion moved the audience to their feet as they took to heart the responsibility to reach out to God’s Cho- sen People with the message of Yeshua.
With energies high and a spirit of anticipation, Rabbi Bernis introduced the final guest of the day, Walid Shoe- bat, an ex-PLO terrorist who has found Yeshua as his Savior. Over the next hour Jonathan Bernis and Walid sounded a clear warning about the dangerous spread of “Radical Islam”
and how it will change our lives forever. They answered the following questions: Is President Obama an Islamic plant? Is Islam a peace- ful religion? How should we respond to the spread of Islam in America? As the day came to an end, the resource tables were full with people wanting more. They wanted resourc- es to take and give to family and friends. The day concluded
with Rabbi Bernis sharing God’s plan for “The One New Man – Jew and Gentile unit- ed in Yeshua.”
