The Summer Games provided children in Gaza with eight weeks of fun. As always, the beach activities, such as volleyball, football and swimming, were especially popular. Even though a beach location was attacked by masked and armed men during the night, destroying the facilities of the location, UNWRA quickly rebuild the facilities and the Summer Games could continue enriching the life of the children during their summer vacation.
