CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF
T
he work of the RAF Families Federation continues to provide invaluable support to ‘The RAF Family’ and I am very grateful
to all who work for the Federation. It is a great pleasure, therefore, to be able to use the Winter issue of Envoy to express my personal best wishes for this Christmas to all RAF personnel and their incredibly supportive families.
As I think back over the last year, I am vividly reminded of the magnificent operational, training and recruiting achievements of the men and women of the Service in 2009 and of the outstanding work of the RAF Families Federation in support of our families.
I am very much aware that, inevitably, at a critical time of operational commitments, many families are separated from their loved ones over the Christmas period – To those families affected by such separation, let me assure you, that I and the broader RAF Family will be thinking especially of you this Christmas. I am constantly aware that it is the Service men and women, magnificently bolstered by their families, who enable the Royal Air Force to be so effective at home and on operations.
DON’T FORGET THE WEBSITE
Do you even know we have a Website? Masses of information is available at the touch of a button.
There is lots about the Federation, who we are, what we do and why we are there.
There are stories of interest to anyone connected to the RAF and information about changes in policy.
Take just a few moments to look at the site – we think you will be pleasantly surprised.
We have it on good authority that RAF staff within Air Command and at MoD use our site as a quick reference guide because it is current and relevant, informative and in a very readable style.
