In order to be able to compare the two boxes we need to have the same weight for both. We can work out the weight per 1kg
Small box: if 2kg costs £1.72 then 1kg will cost £1.72 ÷ 2 = £0.86 Large box: if 9 kg costs £7.65 then 1 kg will cost £7.65 ÷ 9 = £0.85 So large box is better value for money.
