CAE TroposTM-6000 supports feature-rich, high-resolution mission scenarios for urban, coastal, offshore and other environments – including detailed structures, obstructions, weather and lighting effects, 3D water, and artificially intelligent dynamic characters.

CAE is a world leader in providing simula-

tion and modeling technologies and integrated training solutions for the civil aviation industry and defense forces around the globe. CAE employs more than 7,500 people at more than 100 sites and training locations in more than 20 countries. They have the largest installed base of civil simulators and training

and military full-flight

devices – including more than 100 helicopter sim- ulators representing nine aircraft manufacturers. Through their global network of 29 civil aviation and military training centers, CAE trains more than 75,000 crewmembers yearly.

40 The CAE 3000 Series helicopter mission

simulators feature unprecedented realism for heli- copter-specific mission training, including offshore, emergency medical services, law enforcement, long line, high-altitude, corporate and other operations. The simulator enables pilots to practice challeng- ing procedures without risk such as low-level flight, confined area operations and autorotation. CAE says training in their new helicopter sim-

ulator costs less than training in a turbine-powered helicopter, extends the service availability of aircraft fleets (capital cost), and frees up fleet aircraft for rev- enue-generating operations (opportunity cost).
