In recent years Kettering has benefi ted from higher than average educational attainment. Kettering has excellent expanding education facilities providing educational and vocational training. Two new academies are being built in Kettering Town and the Tresham Institute recently moved into their purpose built state of the art multi-million pound college campus on the outskirts of the town centre.

The local Council and its partners have made education and skills a key part of its regeneration vision for the borough, in keeping with its plans to attract more higher grade, higher density employment into the borough.

This evolution refl ects Kettering’s strengths as a business location, where the local employment growth rate is more than the national average. Businesses can count on the availability of skilled employees at cost-effective salaries.

Already home to a working population of around 44,000 employees, Kettering has up to 400,000 workers within a 30 minute drive of the town centre. The local Council is particularly keen to attract more businesses employing skilled workforces to complement the investment in facilities and housing locally.
