Checking for Charity CHARITY
Continued from page 3
Unfortunately, Bader was shipped out to Iraq recently and won’t be able to participate in the tournament. However, Malts said he will communicate by “Skype” and officially open and close the event.
A silent and Chinese auction will be held at the tournament as well, Malts said, with a variety of gift baskets and prizes for visitors to bid on. New for this year is a Beef and
Beer event at PJ Whelihans restaurant in Cherry Hill. The fundraiser will be on Thursday, Aug. 19 and tickets are $30 each. The kickoff event was added to raise additional funds for this
year’s charities as well as provide all participants in the weekend an opportunity to network with one another, Malts said. Tickets at the door will also be
sold for $40. The tickets cover the cost of an all-you-can-eat buffet and beer. For more information on the
event, please visit the organiza- tions Web site at checkingforchari-
ty.com.
