ville Girl Scout Troop 30026 held a year end banquet at the Weaverville United Methodist Church. Te troop presented each of the girls the badges they earned as well as recognized the sizeable number of community service hours preformed. In recap, these girls have or-
ganized food and supply drives for MANNA Food Bank, Haiti and the Buncombe County An- imal Shelter, volunteered ser- vice hours at MANNA, made holiday decorations for the Bri- an Center, distributed over 300 cups of free hot chocolate at the Weaverville Christmas Pa- rade, prepared and served soup to over 150 people through the Weaverville United Methodist Churchís winter soup kitchen, hosted an adult CPR training event and volunteered service hours at the spring Weaverville Relay For Life event.
