Woodfin Arch enjoys new neighborhood

By Matt Tate New location, new name,

same neighbor for Te Arch. Te Arch changed its name

from Te Arch Architectural Accents to Te Arch Architec- tural Finishes, Flooring and More when it moved to the Town and Country shopping center at 171 Weaverville Road in Woodfin. It moved from Te Shoppes

at Beaver Lake in Asheville re- cently along with its old neigh- bor Studio B. Owner Cathy Silver likes be-

ing apart of a new community after operating her business in

Asheville the past five years. “We like the neighborhood

here,” she said. Te Arch highlights green

building practices such as eco- timber flooring and natural clay finishes. Tey also carry a variety of

home accents, such as tiles, house numbers and switch plates from artists. Silver said the additional

space has allowed Te Arch to host workshops as well. Te Arch is open from

9:30 pm to 5:30 pm Tuesday through Friday and 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday. For more, go to thearchnc.com or call 253- 5455.

Cathy Silver said The Arch also sells wood-fire ovens from Forno-Bravo.

Studio B finds new home

By Matt Tate Eying more space and parking,

Patti Bell, director at Studio B Cus- tom Framing Fine Art & Consulting Services relocated her business from Asheville to Woodfin recently. Bell had been operating Studio B

at Te Shoppes at Beaver Lake since 2006, although she had been in the framing business for 28 years prior in Ohio before relocating. Positioned with the opportunity to

gain 400 more square feet, Bell took an opportunity to move her business to the Town and Country shopping center at 171 Weaverville Road. Te extra space is especially benefi-

cial to Bell’s gallery of regional, na- tional and international artwork. “It helps here that you can actually

stand back and look at the art,” Bell said. She shares a door with old Beaver

Lake neighbor Te Arch. Studio B is open 10 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday and 10 am
