layHaven (
playhaven.org) is a non-profit organization committed to the pur- suit of happiness through shared play. We organize and promote events that
involve various forms of group play. Our intention is to create community centers throughout the world where people of all ages and backgrounds can come together in the spirit of fun and celebration. Currently, PlayHaven is establishing its first community center in Tucson. We are in the process of purchasing and develop- ing a site in Central Tucson that will host every imaginable kind of group play, including chanting, dance, drumming, yoga, crafts, exchanges, gardening, and anything else our community can envision and create together. We plan to have activities available every day and evening, and all of our events will be free or by donation, inclusive, intentional, and, of course, fun!
We welcome your input and involvement in the creation of the Tucson center. You can get involved by coming to planning meetings (open meetings start in mid-July), emailing us suggestions for the structure and design of the center as well as event suggestions at
play@playhaven.org, volunteering your time with us, or making a donation for building materials, furnishings, toys, etc.
