An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager at Whitby Leisure Centre, a wet and dry facility within the beautiful old town of Whitby set between the coast and the stunning North Yorkshire Moors.


You must have relevant experience of working in the leisure industry and hold a recognised leisure management qualification.


As well as the above qualifications we are looking for someone with excellent organisational and customer care skills including knowledge of customer focused quality systems such as QUEST.


Duties include marketing of the facility and its programme, responsibility for co- coordinating the activities and specialisms of the Duty Manager team, assisting in promoting and developing events at the facility, deputising for the manager wherever necessary. The role will involve some evening and weekend work on a rota basis. The Assistant Manager post will be subject to Criminal Records Bureau checks

We need a driven and committed individual to take on the role of Sports Officer at our vibrant sports centre, assisting the Duty Manager in the day to day operation and development of the SportsPark.


You will require good customer service and communication skills as well as being conscientious in your work within a small team. There may be the opportunity to assist with development projects aimed at widening participation in sport, in addition to daily operational and cleaning tasks.
