With the 2012 Olympics fast approaching, there’s no better time to get the people of Greenwich up and active.As part of our Olympics and Paralympic Unit, you’ll increase the number of young people and adults taking part in athletics, with the help of schools, clubs, the community and England Athletics.


You’ll be the force behind the strategic development of athletics in the Borough.Your efforts will ensure that people of all ages participate in athletics and you’ll concentrate on increasing school club links, encouraging participation from under-represented groups and developing a disability athletics programme.


With your Level 2 Athletics Coaching qualification, you’ll have the required expertise: knowledge of sports development, athletics coaching, disability athletics and the England Athletics Whole Sport plan.You can also build networks and partnerships using your strong communication skills.Above all, you’ll be organised and passionate about athletics.


A car and full clean UK driving licence are essential.

Ellis Guilford School and Sports College requires a full time Senior Duty Officer to be based at the Schools Sports Centre. The main responsibility for this post will be to develop and extend the sports provision and community programmes within and across our excellent facilities.


We are looking for a highly organised, motivated and innovative person to lead on developing our community sports programme offer from the Sports Centre and across our associated Facilities. The Centre has an excellent reputation and caters for over 700 users each week.
