THE GLAMORGAN FOOD & LEISURE GUIDE 2010
Coed-y-Mwstwr Golf Club
Coed -y-Mwstwr Golf Club is situated just 5 minutes from junction 35 off the M4. We consider ourselves as possibly the friendliest club in Wales and regularly welcome repeat visitors year after year. We offer a range of packages for visiting societies focusing on afford- ability and playability.
The golf course is designed and maintained to provide a fair
challenge to all levels of golfer. Whilst measuring just under 6000 yards the well protected greens ensure that if you play to your handicap you can be well satisfied with your day’s golf.
We offer packages starting at less than £25 which includes 18
holes of golf and two course bar meal. For the more adventurous visitor; breakfast roll and coffee, lunch, a two course meal and all day golf can be yours for less than £40.
We have fresh home cooked meals and a well stocked bar –
perfect for celebrating your round or drowning your sorrows. Our 50-seater conservatory and accompanying decking area overlooks the 18th green where you can watch your fellow golfers tackling the final hole of their round.
A new pond constructed in April, has made the par 3 fourth hole
(pictured), the feature hole of the course. Although only 155 yards of the white tees, the narrow target and swirling wind, brings a bit of Augusta to South Wales.
Sunday lunches are a new addition at Coed-y-Mwstwr - at £6.95
for a main course and dessert – excellent value for money in beautiful surroundings! We advise that you book in advance to guarantee your table.
We often hear golf courses described as hidden gems. We firmly
believe that even though we are situated within 20 minutes of Cardiff, Swansea, the Vale and on the doorstep of Bridgend we are still the best kept secret in Welsh golf. With uncrowded fairways, average round times under 4 hours, buggies available for hire and excellent food and drink, it really is time you paid us a visit.
