Learning for the future…
How will Marine Academy Students learn?
Students will be offered an exciting range of subjects.
“ Our curriculum
will develop the whole person.”
Courses, learning and assessments will be organised to best meet the needs and aspirations of the individual student.
Students will be treated as individuals. Those in need of specialist support will receive it. Students with particular talents will be encouraged, supported and challenged. All will achieve.
Digital projectors, interactive
whiteboards and wireless laptops will be used where appropriate.
Students will have access to computers to continue their learning independently. Resources and facilities will continue to improve.
Enrichment through additional
courses and activities before and after school, at weekends and in school holidays, will increase the opportunities available to students.
Our curriculum will develop the student as a whole person: each student will be able to lead a team and be a team member; take initiative and be enterprising; be encouraged to make their contribution to the wider community and the environment.
The Academy will use the University of Plymouth and Cornwall College in order to extend and enrich learning.
