I am very pleased to introduce myself as the Principal of Marine Academy Plymouth.


Marine Academy Plymouth is unique; it is the UK’s first Marine Academy.

If you are a parent and a Plymouth resident you are probably familiar with Tamarside Community College — you may have even attended it yourself. You will know about its strong record of inclusion and pastoral care, these are strengths that we will build upon.


In 2007 Ofsted judged it to be a good school, it will be an outstanding Academy.


It is a great privilege to lead Marine Academy Plymouth, which is building on the best that the school has offered; with the fabulous and exciting new facilities to come, Marine Academy Plymouth will improve education in northwest Plymouth and the City beyond.


Personal investment in, and commitment to education will lift the aspirations and self- confidence of its entire community for generations to come.
