FROM EARTH TO GALLIFREY
Judges’ Lodgings, Lancaster Step into the TARDIS and travel through time with Doctor Who. In the words of the Doctor - “Think you’ve seen it all? Think again. Inside those doors, you might see anything. You could find new worlds, terrifying monsters, impossible things”. This family oriented mini- exhibition follows Doctor Who from the 1960s to the present day. Join the Doctor as he fights monsters and aliens, meets new companions and even regenerates. Children can even put their own TARDIS on one of the planets visited by Doctor Who on our space travel wall. Tel: 01524 382264

Blackpool’s Grand Theatre, in partnership with Blott Art Gallery and the Friends of the Grand, commissioned local photographic artist Douglas Stuart to produce an innovative exhibition charting a year in the working life of the resort’s beautiful Grade II* listed Victorian theatre. Douglas Stuart shot behind the scenes as the Grand’s Artist in Residence in his unique award- winning style at the theatre over 12 months in 2009, taking pictures of patrons and volunteers, stars and scenery and of course the renowned ‘get-in’ where sets are built and the finest sound created - an area patrons never get to see. 10am- 5pm. GUIDING LIGHT
Gawthorpe Hall, Padiham To coincide with the Centenary of the Girl Guides, this Exhibition celebrates the important role played by Gawthorpe’s Miss Rachel Kay- Shuttleworth as first County Commissioner for the Girl Guides in Lancashire. The exhibition will display many items not usually seen, such as Miss Rachel’s hand- drawn designs for banners, guide badges and samplers. There will also be the chance to view original guide uniforms, badges and standards which tell the story of the association of Miss Rachel, Gawthorpe Hall and Lancashire Guiding, and shows her influence continues today.
