JV team achieves
historical mark

Sophomore Kyle Ward said it
was sometime during the summer
when he realized this year’s North
Buncombe JV Boys’ Basketball
team could be special. Special is
one thing. Perfection is another.
But that’s exactly what the
BlackHawks accomplished, be-
coming what is believed to be the
only boys’ athletics team in the
school’s history to finish a season
without a loss.
This group of players, which
