Depreciation of £18,285,000 (2008: £15,046,000) has been charged in ‘cost of sales’ and the remaining £1,356,000 (2008: £1,055,000) has been charged to
‘operating expenses’.
The impairment noted in the year ended 30 September 2009 related to a unique item of hire stock whose rental and resale capacity was reduced during the
period.
