design pieces, a men’s line, and children’s
clothes. Why Deborah even makes cashmere
dog sweaters! What is more, Deborah has a pas-
sion that informs all of her work and will
continue to do so in this new decade. She was
told early on in her career that certain eco-
friendly business practices would not work,
would not move her business forward. Still,
she hung in there. She held true to her child-
hood experiences, her professional, Parsons
School-training, and her gut-feeling that her

choices have a long-lasting impact and, that if
she stuck to her guns and her core beliefs, she
would do okay.
Deborah has done more than okay. She is
widely known for her designs, eye for finding
new and exciting fabrics, and inspiring other
designers to follow suit. Deborah is not just a
designer with an incredible gift for beauty and
innovation. Deborah is a pioneer in her field,
raising the bar for the fashion industry as a
whole.
