The Lower School - Jerwoods
The Lower School, known as Jerwoods, enjoys

Education, Information and Communication
Technology and a series of Creative Arts courses;
most pupils take Latin. In Lower One (Year 6) there
are two equal ability classes taught for half the
timetable by a class teacher whilst subject
specialists teach Science, ICT, History and Music.
In the First and Second Forms (Years 7 and 8) each
subject is taught by a specialist teacher.
Throughout the Lower School, teaching is by
forms in all subjects, except Mathematics, Latin
and French which are divided into sets by ability.
No teaching group is larger than twenty four;
most are significantly smaller.
